Launch Shots calls itself a way to generate, publish and track App Store screenshots, and it does all three. Upload up to ten screenshots and its AI writes headlines and returns three design directions to edit. From there it publishes screenshots and listing copy to App Store Connect and Google Play, and a free ASO console tracks impressions, conversion and keyword ranks.
If you are considering a Launch Shots alternative, it is usually not for a missing feature. It is about where your unreleased screens go, which platforms you ship on, and whether you want to count credits. This post compares it with Screenshot Studio, a native Mac and iOS app.
What Launch Shots Does Well #
- AI design directions. Three starting designs with written headlines from your raw captures.
- Publish and track. It publishes screenshots and listing copy together, and its ASO console shows App Analytics data and keyword ranks, free on every plan.
- No watermark, even free. Its pricing page says free exports are not watermarked.
- Both stores. App Store Connect and Google Play publishing, with Android phone and tablet sizes.
- A remote MCP server. Agents can generate sets through it.
Where Screenshot Studio Is Different #
Your screens stay on your Mac #
Launch Shots works in its cloud, and its MCP server is remote, so your captures are uploaded to generate designs. Screenshot Studio keeps projects as documents on your Mac, and its MCP server runs on localhost: Claude Code or Cursor edits your open document, and nothing leaves the machine.
Mac and Apple TV sizes #
Launch Shots lists frames for iPhone, iPad, Android, watchOS and visionOS. We could not find Mac or Apple TV export sizes. Screenshot Studio exports iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, plus Android, from one design (see the current size requirements).
Every language on every Pro plan, and no credits #
On Launch Shots, the free plan covers 3 languages, the Launch Kit 15, and all store languages need the Unlimited subscription. Usage outside Unlimited is counted in credits: one per screenshot set per device type, or one per publish. With Screenshot Studio Pro, every App Store language is included on every plan, and nothing is counted per set.
A lifetime option #
Launch Shots sells credits, a 14-day Launch Kit and a monthly or yearly subscription. Screenshot Studio offers weekly, monthly or yearly Pro, or a one-time lifetime unlock.

Choose Launch Shots if you want AI to propose the design, you publish to Google Play as well as the App Store, or you want listing analytics and keyword tracking in the same tool.
Choose Screenshot Studio if you want your screens and your agent workflow to stay on your Mac, you ship Mac or Apple TV apps, or you want every language and unlimited sets without counting credits.
