Model Context Protocol
An MCP server for App Store screenshots
Connect Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex or Antigravity to Screenshot Studio. Your assistant imports captures, writes captions in every language, restyles the design and checks its own work, all in the document you have open.
Built into the Mac app. Free tier included. Runs on localhost.
One prompt, a whole set
From a folder of raw captures to a finished set
Point the assistant at a folder and ask for App Store screenshots. In this run, Claude Code sorted the captures into iPhone and Mac sets and wrote a caption for each. It picked an accent color from the app's own interface, then rendered previews to tighten the copy and fix a scale that clipped the bezels.
- Imports screenshots from a folder on your Mac
- Writes and localizes titles and body text
- Renders previews to check its own output

MCP questions
Is the Screenshot Studio MCP server free?
Yes. The MCP server is available on the free tier. Exporting the finished screenshots needs Pro, which is a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock.
Which AI clients can connect?
Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP. Screenshot Studio ships ready-made configuration for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and Antigravity.
Are my screenshots sent to the cloud?
No. The server binds to 127.0.0.1 on your Mac, so only tools running on the same machine can reach it. Your AI client still sends your prompts and the tool results to its own model provider.
Does it work on iPhone or iPad?
No. The MCP server is part of the Mac app. Screenshot Studio on iOS has the editor but not the server.
Can the assistant upload to App Store Connect?
Not through MCP. The assistant edits the open document; you review it, then export or upload to App Store Connect from the app as usual.
